Autumnal Offering
The golden leaf
that settled
in the silver shell
still remains a guest
within my garden.
But sadly
the leaf is dying now.
Will it be there
in the morning
or be blown away
forever? That a single
dying leaf
can engender grief...
Was this
autumnal offering
synchronicity
reminding me
of the moment of now...

ReplyDelete"The moment of now" and we only have so many allotted to us so we feel the grief of time passing. Beautiful photo and poem.
ReplyDeleteHow true, freebird.
ReplyDeleteIf we had only been taught
about the "moment of now,"
in our schools...But sadly,
this is not included
in our curriculum...
Thanks for your thought provoking
words.
